Today, fuel is also purchased through these new means of payement, thanks above all to Bancomat S.p.A. and Unione Petrolifera which recently challenged the sector to accelerate the use of digital technologies. Furthermore, there is also the conspicuous presence of digital in the catering field and in the many sales points we meet along our route. Recently, Autogrill and PayPal signed an agreement that allows payment through smartphones in every stores and restaurants along Italian motorways.

An initiative that completes the offer of digital services for Autogrill customers, such as the recent introduction of the free wi-fi connection service in service areas along the Italian motorway network, such as e-invoicing, self-ticketing and customer loyalty systems.

The awareness, on the part of all those involved in the "travel" sector, that they have to satisfy their offer from the technological point of view, to meet an increasingly demanding customer, will bring greater comfort in terms of saving time and ease.
