A master's degree in digital payments

In Italy, as already seen on various occasions by the coalition's investigations, there is a problem of education, or rather of behaviour. But we are not referring to the strict rules of bon ton or the spelling deficiencies of middle schools; but to financial education, of which average Italian consumers seem to need a tutor.

It seems that someone is beginning to think about how to solve this problem. On March 14, the first International Master's in Fintech - finance and digital innovation will be presented in Milan. This is a response due to the deficiencies demonstrated in our country by consumers regarding issues concerning digital payments. In fact, Italians are still bound to cash because it’s considered easier, immediate and reliable, at least in appearance.

The course, starting in September and organized by the MIP Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Business, will be a full-time master's course lasting 12 months dedicated to future professionals in the fintech field, to which they want to transfer skills both in the financial world and in the IT thanks to the collaboration with different departments of the Polytechnic. The master is going to focus on an analysis of new digital technologies, new payment instruments and their applications in the financial world such as banks, insurance companies and asset management.

A complete immersion in the fintech universe, which has been revolutionizing consumer habits for digital payments for years. The master could finally help citizens to extricate themselves in this maze invaded by an infinite number of Minotaurs: cashless cards, mobile devices, apps, and many other tools that have clogged our daily lives and tripled our choices.
